The Trust is currently made up of four academies. In September 2016 Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy & Sixth Form College came together, moving away from their stand-alone Trust status and were joined in December 2016 by Horbury Primary Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy.
The Sixth Form offers a fully inclusive Post 16 education for students aged 16 – 19 years old. The courses we run, together with the specialist subject tutors and our great resources, are all aimed at ensuring that each and every one of our students reaches their true potential.
Ossett Academy is a dynamic learning environment that promotes enjoyment, opportunities and friendship. Our Academy is underpinned by a clear vision of success for all our students and it is this vision that forms the basis for all the work we do across all aspects of the Academy life and the wider community.
Horbury Academy is a mixed, 11-16 academy, situated on the outskirts of Wakefield. From securing academic success to success in extra-curricular activity, our staff are fully committed to ensuring that all students make the most of their time at Horbury Academy. Our Academy building is purpose built under one roof, allowing for a unique community and supportive feel.
Established in 1928, and set within expansive grounds, Middlestown Primary Academy is situated at the heart of a rural village close to the city of Wakefield. We pride ourselves on being at the heart of the community and enjoy good support from all our stakeholders.
Horbury Primary Academy is a community where children become confident, caring individuals with high aspirations, an enduring enthusiasm for learning and the necessary skills to succeed in life.
